Wreay Syke Alpacas

More Information

The Helm is a local public access hill in the south of Kendal with stunning 360 degree panoramic views of the peaks of the Lake District, the Yorkshire fells, Morecambe Bay to the south and Kendal itself in the middle with views over Kendal Castle, the family home of Katherine Parr, the last wife of Henry VIII.

This walk is a moderate to more challenging walk mainly on grass paths which go up to the top of the Helm where you will be rewarded with breath-taking views! To ensure your safety, sturdy walking boots or good wellies are essential along with a warm coat suitable for the weather.

Walks can be adapted to suit individual needs as there are alternative routes over the Helm we can follow, however the best views are from the top!

This walk will take approximately 1½ to 2 hours depending on how the alpacas feel that day but definitely set aside 2 hours for the experience. Expect a relaxed walk, as everything is done at the alpacas' leisurely pace, ensuring a delightful and unhurried adventure!
